Imagine a world where technology is becoming increasingly complicated, science can do things straight out of science fiction, and yet society seems to be in near constant turmoil as old traditions clash with an emerging new order that doesn’t know what it’s trying to become while searching for something to embrace. A world where advances aren’t created for the benefit of society, but to be used on it.

This world is known as a cyberpunk dystopia, and you probably don’t have to imagine it as some abstract concept. One look at the news and you’ll see it playing out right in front of your eyes as revisionist and regressive ideas of old clash with the uncertainty created by technology which makes norms used to guide our lives obsolete while our leaders refuse to even understand what’s happening, much less give us a blueprint for what comes next.

In a world like this, your best weapon is information. You need to learn what’s coming around the horizon, what it means, whether it’s actually useful, and if so, how to use it to either adapt, or advocate for the kind of changes that will give you the best chance to create some semblance of order out of the chaos. My goal is to provide you with as much of this information as possible, covered clearly and to the point.
