another ultimate proof of creation…

Creationists always promise a grand proof for why evolution is a folly of the unfaithful. This time they're timing it to a group of atheists visiting their Creation Museum.

battle of the fish

As PZ Myers and a group of Columbus college students prepare to see the mockery of all modern knowledge that is the Creation Museum, Ken Ham's swarm of hacks is getting ready to unveil the Ultimate Proof of Creation. And this time they mean it…

There is a defense for creation that is powerful, conclusive, and has no true rebuttal. As such, it is an irrefutable argument — an "ultimate proof" of the Christian worldview.

Sounds like the writer of this promo is trying channel P.T. Barnum's ghost. Step right up folks to the greatest proof that the Earth was created in six days just 6,000 years ago! Be amazed as scientists are left stunned by our irrefutable logic! You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll be ready to take on any skeptic with evidence he'll be powerless to refute! Oh and remembered to donate lots of money since Ham's nearly $180,000 annual salary doesn't exactly pay itself.

How many ultimate proofs has Answers in Genesis unveiled so far, each seemingly more ultimate than the last? How many times have they claimed that they're using the exact same evidence that scientists use to back the evolutionary theory and came up with solid, falsifiable proof for their personal beliefs?

You know, the very same evidence they ignore when they say there's no such thing as speciation and that transitional fossils don't exist? At this point, I'm losing count and getting ever more confused as to how people who don't have a leg to stand on, and have to resort to dreaming up natural laws in defense of their passionate anti-science rants, can make bold claims like that with a straight face.

Either the steady flood of donations lets them rationalize all those wild claims or they're truly so oblivious, they don't even stop to think about what they're saying.
